Lumela (hi)! We’re Stan & Angie Burleson.

We grew up in Perryton, Texas, where we served on youth mission trips together through First Baptist Church. As high school sweethearts, we later attended Wayland Baptist University and were married.

Stan served as a music minister for Baptist churches across Texas and, most recently, led worship and served as the missions minister at First Baptist Perryton. Angie, passionate about caring for children, taught preschool through 3rd grade.

Our shared heart for missions was sparked after separate trips to Belarus, which led to a life-changing focus of serving others.

In 2008, God led First Baptist Perryton to Lesotho, and the church began sending 2-3 teams annually to partner with IMB missionaries Alan and Babs Dial and Jim and Teresa Flora. In 2013, the church embraced the Matsoku Valley, sending 3-4 teams a year to serve the people there.

In 2016, after eight years of leading short-term teams, God called us to serve full-time as missionaries when the International Mission Board encouraged churches to establish “church-sent” partnerships. Today, we continue to serve in partnership with First Baptist Perryton and the IMB Basotho team.
